Five Barrel Golden Ale

Back in the day, a new type of ale was needed to combat the rise of lagers brewed throughout Europe. The enterprising Brits held off brewing their bitter, malty beers to develop the light and crisp style we’ve come to love today.

Our Golden Ale is a great beer for a warm day, or after a session behind the lawnmower. It is crisp and refreshing with a playful balance between malt and hop, giving even the most discerning beer lover something to enjoy.
