Seven Mile Beach is a 40 minute drive from Broger’s End and is situated within the Seven Mile Beach National Park. To access the beach, head to The Beach Road Picnic Area and leave your car here and take a stroll down to the waters edge. The beach is 12.5km long (7.8 miles long), so finding a beautiful secluded spot won’t be hard!
Make sure to take along some fishing gear with you (you can hire from the Red Shed in town) and enjoy your time swimming, fishing, bodyboarding, surfing or just soaking up the sun before heading back to the Picnic area for a delicious BBQ lunch. Don’t worry if you forgot something, there are some well stocked shops in Shoalhaven Heads Village that will have everything you need.
Further South, Jervis Bay is approx 55 minutes drive from Broger’s End and the coastline is breathtaking! The clear waters of the bay offer ideal family fun, with most beaches protected from swell and waves. Mornings are best and if you rent a boat, you can find a protected beach on the northern side of the bay and stay out for the entire day.
The most popular beaches are Moona Moona Creek (great for little kids), Blenheim and Greenfields at Vincentia, Sailors and Shark Net at Huskisson, Hyams and Chinamans at Hyams Beach.
Good snorkelling is on offer around the rocky points that separate many of beaches and for keen surfers, head to Gerroa or Werri Beach in Gerringong for a great break.
